Media tastings are not reviews, but they are a great way for me to learn more about full menu offerings, dish updates, and special events from our local restaurants to share with readers. Media tasting invitations are accepted from any local restaurant who would like coverage on Feasting Fort Collins – no matter if they’ve been previously reviewed or not.
Media tasting photos are uploaded on Feasting Fort Collins Instagram during (or shortly after) the event, so be sure to follow me on there for the sneak peek before it hits the site.
Snack Attack Specialty Sandwiches & Brews is one of the newer restaurants to have opened in Fort Collins, opening their doors in June on College just south of Prospect where Red Robin Burger Works was. Now, I know what you’re thinking… parking. It’s a pain to park around there which has caused some strife for people in surrounding neighborhoods. This was the first thing I asked about, and owners Shawn and Lauren were on top of it in their business negotiations, securing 32 spaces just for the shop. Students living in the surrounding State On Campus apartments can’t park there, so it shouldn’t be an issue.
Snack Attack isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel with this restaurant. Their sandwiches are comprised of (what I think is really good) bread, Boar’s Head deli meats, and organic veggies (when available). You can “snack attack it” by adding potato chips in the sandwich. Their beverage selection is more unique than most featuring local craft beer, small batch sodas from Rocky Mountain Soda Co. and nitro cold brew from Cranked Up Coffee – which, by the way, is AMAZING especially with one of their house-baked cookies.
When I think of Snack Attack, I think of it being a fun lunch spot with the kids after a biking on Poudre Trail. We would already stop there for a cone at Dairy Queen, so making it a full lunch stop would be nice. Plus, the kids menu here is approachable for picky eaters and nutrition-conscious parents.
