Before taking over this site, I wasn’t exactly sure how it all worked. Maybe you aren’t either. Well, please allow me to explain: This site operates based on sponsors who have ads on Feasting Fort Collins. Those ads not only keep this site afloat, but also provide my writing fee which goes completely to my food budget. Point blank: without them, this site can’t exist. In the past there were strict rules on who could advertise, but now it’s a no holds barred situation. Each month this site gets over 55K page views and over 10,000 visits. Our Facebook followers have climbed to almost 5,000, with Instagram at close to 3K and over 4K for Twitter fans. I am thrilled that since I have taken over, these numbers only continue to grow.
All that said, this is a fantastic place to advertise your business locally. Both men and women of all age groups read Feasting Fort Collins and as I increase posts and content, my hope is to increase that already massive following. Have an event or business you’d like to advertise? Email me at email@example.com —I can figure out something beneficial for almost any budget. And I’m not above trading for live chickens. Well, maybe I am. But only because I’m already on thin ice with my neighbors.
I’d like to highlight this months fantastic sponsors and before you stop reading, just know that I’m going to talk about cupcakes at the end and you will be real sorry you missed out on that.

Financial Planning Fort Collins is a longtime supporter of Feasting Fort Collins. Jason specializes in clients who are 30-60 years old and he has unique experience working with restaurant and bar owners, teachers, and engineers. Jason can help you with all types of financial planning including: retirement goals, education funding, taxation, and estate planning. He often posts helpful tips on his Facebook page and also owns and operates Fort Collins Tax Service. Jason put together this case study of the benefits of professional financial advice and even I, who hates technical reading especially about things I know nothing about, found it to be helpful. Check it out—it answered a lot of questions I was too embarrassed to ask someone.
Matador Mexican Grill has the areas longest happy hour: $1.63 bottled beer all day. Yep, all bottles, all day. Use that deal to wash down their claim to fame “hottest sauce in town,” Ghost Ranger. With a Fort Collins location on Harmony and their new Loveland location (Rocky Mountain Ave.), getting there is now even easier. They also do fantastic football contests with the season starting back up–check out their Facebook page for more.
Butter Cream Bakery is the founding sponsor of Feasting Fort Collins and may I take a moment and say that I binged on their cupcakes long before I started writing this site, so I am able to be completely unbiased when I tell you that they are amazing. They offer a surprise cupcake flavor everyday, fresh gluten-free cupcakes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and vegan cupcakes every other Wednesday. Follow them on Instagram if only because seeing pictures of delicious cupcakes each day surely is good for your motivation. But here is the best part—I get the surprise flavor calendar in advance. And I’m a great sharer so here’s the low-down for you:
Today (28th) is Maple Pear, tomorrow is Chocolate Chip Cookie, Friday is Almond Joy (which is amazing if you’ve never had it), and Saturday will be Sweet Potato—and I’m going to need someone to report back to me on that one because if I can get in a vegetable serving as a cupcake, my world is going to change. Next Wednesday the vegan flavor will be Chocolate. You can also check their site for upcoming flavors.
Thank you sponsors!
Please support these local businesses and be sure to tell them Feasting Fort Collins sent you!
